"We can build a gym, we can also build a place for street vendors to sell. It’s open, as long as there are lights and CCTVs," he continued.

According to him, area under highways or flyovers and that have been controlled cannot be left empty. If it does, illegal settlement and slums will be back on his feet. "But if there are street vendors selling there, it might as well keep the areas so that there is no illegal shack. Certainly, the sellers will be angry if there is illegal shack because it will reduce their land to sell," Basuki explained.

Basuki admitted that many local apparatus  who had been involved utilizing the area under the highways and flyovers in the capital city to be rent to others. As a result, those areas are currently rampant with illegal permanent buildings.

"In fact, there are also shops in there. So, such thing will be solved. Certainly we will sweep it all. It just takes the right time. If we can’t curb 100 people at once? Then lower it into 50. If still can’t, then make it 25. Still can’t do it then make it 10," Basuki uttered.
